Semua pengguna ponsel Android sebenarnya dapat menggunakan Skype, minus fitur video, sejak Oktober 2010 lalu. Dan sejak pertengahan tahun 2011 ini, pengguna ponsel Android bisa memanfaatkan video chat Skype secara gratis.
Saat ini, hanya ponsel Android tertentu yang mendukung aplikasi terbaru ini yaitu HTC Desire S, Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro dan Google Nexus S.
Namun kemungkinan untuk bisa melakukan panggilan video non-Skype antarponsel Android melalui aplikasi Google Talk dan Oovoo, masih lama bisa terjadi.
Sedangkan pemilik perangkat dengan sistem operasi iOS seperti iPhone dan iPad dapat melakukan panggilan video melalui Skype sejak akhir tahun 2010 lalu. (Mashable/KSP)
